CANADIAN RACING CLUBS
CALGARY GROUND POUNDERS host the annual Ground Pounder Daze event each August Long Weekend. There is sand drag, tough truck and team relay races...there is action all weekend long!
CANADIAN MUD RACING ORGINIZATION (CMRO) is dedicated to having the most fun in the mud anyone can imagine. We are an association committed to supplying racing excitement of a rather unique sort. Instead of racing on dry pavement, we prefer to race in pits of mud. We host races all over Western Canada.
CANADIAN TUFF TRUCK ASSOCIATION puts on events that test the skills and abilities of the drivers and their trucks. Pro drivers compete throughout the season for points based on the results of each round of racing. Races consist of timed runs over jumps and around obstacles. Drivers push their trucks to the limit, and almost anything can happen. This is also a good sport for aspiring drivers to start in, since there is a minimal start up cost. Trucks only have to be inspected to be safe enough to race and drivers must wear protective gear to prevent injury. The rules are actually quite simple.

MOLSON CANADIAN CENTRE FOR SPEED The Molson Canadian Centre is centrally located and has a regional fan base. It is located in the Greater Moncton seaside resort town of Shediac just 12 Minutes drive from the City of Moncton, approximately fourty five minutes from Prince Edward Island and Amherst / Springhill, Nova Scotia. The Molson Canadian Centre overlooks the beautiful Northumberland Straight just 5 kms past Shediac's Parlee Beach Provincial Park on Route #133. XTREME MOTORSPORTS is based in Alberta, Canada. A group avid 4x4 wheelers decided there was a lack of organized competitive 4x4 events so we thought we'd like to take a gander at changing that. We held our first competition in 2003 called the Xtreme Showdown. The interest was overwhelming. We had more competitors that were interested in participating than the event called for. HARD CORE OFF ROAD is a group of off-road enthusiasts who enjoy four-wheeling with similar, capable off-road vehicles. We all share the same interests, covering ground and having a good time. HERD OF TURTLES FOUR WHEEL DRIVE SOCIETY OK, now that you have stopped laughing at our name, please let us take a few moments to tell you a little about our club. Although centered in Surrey, we have members from North Vancouver to Chilliwack. And most of our trucks are not nearly as modified as our turtle logo, but that is not from a lack of wanting. Our trail rides in the last year have taken us to exotic locations in South Vancouver Island, the Okanagan, the South Chilcotins, and many destinations in between. Each month has at least one scheduled club event. The Herd is also an active participant within the Four Wheel Drive Association of BC and the local community.

NORTH CARIBOU OFFROAD ADVENTURERS SOCIETY is a club based in Prince George but we cover vast areas of the Province on search of prime wheeling terrain. Our club membership is not limited by vehicle makes or vehicle capabilities. We are a group of fun loving people and families who like to get away from it all. If not just for the day, a long weekend here and there as well.
NORTH HASTINGS FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CLUB is located in eastern/central Ontario. Our members range from Ingersoll Ontario to Petawawa, Ontario. The club is made up of mid to small size 4x4s consisting of mainly Jeeps and Suzukis. The club does not discriminate though, and we allow any type and size of 4x4 to join. Because of the tightness of the trails that we travel/explore we do designate certain trails as "No full-size Vehicles". Even Jeep CJ-7s can have trouble on some of our trails. The club and the trails that we explore are geared more towards the extremist of the sport. Not to say that stock vehicles are not allowed. We just want to attract the type of person who likes to challenge his machine and see what it is capable of doing.
NORTHERN ALBERTA 4 WHEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION ALL makes of 4x4s are welcome, from stock to highly modified. Likewise, all experience levels are welcome, from beginner to expert.
NORTHERN LIGHTS 4X4 TRAILRIDERS ASSOCIATION Early in the spring of 1998 a number of four-wheelers became quite concerned over a land planning and management program launched by the Ontario Government called "Lands for Life". The primary concern was the impact that any resulting policy may have on our access to the Crown Land trails and roads that we currently enjoy the use of. The other concern, but perhaps just as important, was that the process appeared about one half over by the time we found out about it. A small number of dedicated four-wheelers, who met primarily over the Internet, decided that the time was right to raise the level of organized four wheeling in Ontario. To that end this group of people began to meet regularly to explore the possibility of establishing an Ontario Association.

OKANAGAN EXPLORER 4X4 CLUB is a registered non-profit group dedicated to the enjoyment of off-road vehicles in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. They are based in Vernon, BC.
OTTAWA VALLEY LAND ROVERS is the oldest and largest Land Rover club in Canada. Originally conceived in 1982 as a local chapter of the Association Of Land Rover Owners of Canada (ALROC) by the ALROC founders, OVLR has grown to an extent where, by December, 1994, it was tied for the third largest club in North America. Membership currently stands at over 250 members; quarter of which reside in the Ottawa Valley. The remainder mostly reside in the United States (from New York State, to Virginia, to Montana and to the deserts and coasts of California), Britain and even Germany. The club celebrates its 19th birthday in June of 2002. Membership is open to all Land Rover enthusiasts.

AMERICAN DESERT RACING CLUBS AND TEAMS
BONNEVILLE OFF ROAD ENT. (BORE) is a great little distance racing series from Utah and Nevada.
BEST IN THE DESERT started off as a little bike series, but has exploded to become the largest desert racing series that races only in the US..who knows..perhaps it will be larger than SCORE one day. It is definatly on its way.
BP MOTORSPORTS is a new desert racing series based around California City.
CHECKERS is probably the most famous desert racing pit club in history.
CLASS 8 COALITION is a cooperative group of Class 8 racers who have teamed together in order to promote their class, race at the same events, and pool resources. This effort helps bring higher visibility to each of the individual teams, and allows them to coordinate their efforts for a better turnout in Class 8 at "Coalition" designated races.
FAIR The First Association of Independent Racers, known as F.A.I.R, is a Orange County based club with members all over Southern California and out-of-state to provide desert off-road pit support. The club is made up of racers and volunteer pit personnel-formed in 1972 to help the independent racers compete with the large, well-funded teams. The objective of the club is for small race teams to pool resources and form one large support organization that provides full pit support for individual teams. At supported race events (all SCORE and MDR), FAIR will have tires, jacks, air guns, welders, tools, oil, fluids, long range radios, and qualified pit personnel, etc. all at every major pit location. All these people are volunteers and work as a team as each race event occurs, racing members supply two volunteers or in many cases take a full pit to assist with running the pit location until all FAIR race teams have completed the race. 4 spare tires are also required and a small support pit fee (usually .00 for California races and .00 for out-of-state races, Mexico races $ vary depending upon the length of the race event).

MOJAVE DESERT RACING is the largest desert racing series in California.
MOJAVE OFFROAD RACING ENTHUSIASTS (MORE) is another California desert racing series.
PRO 1600 was designed to unite 1600 racers into a coalition to better our sport. The Shoot Out series allows us to control our own racing direction (as a group) and to race at the venues that we chose to race. Banded together, we not only have the opportunity to race larger fields, but will see purses and a points fund like never before. The series offers 1600 racers everywhere a place for competitive racing, huge paybacks, and a voice that promoters will listen to. The best part is that each racer has a VOTE on the direction that he or she would like to see the series travel.
PRERUNNERS.COM is probably the best prerunner site around...or at least one of the best.
PRO DIRT is a team of independent racers all with equal membership rights and a competitive interest in racing in Class 1. To become a member for the 2002 racing season you must submit a ,000 membership fee. The team of members who had their ,000 submitted by November 30, 2001 then voted on the number of races and racing events that now qualify for the ProDIRTLLC purse and overall points championship (i.e. the highest voted on races regardless of sanctioning body became the series). To qualify for the ProDIRTLLC purse you must compete in a vehicle weighing 3500 lbs. or LESS, with rear or mid-engine configuration. ProDIRTLLC is not a sanctioning body. Members enter the events they chose to run as they normally would, paying the required entry fee. Members race under the rules of Class 1 or 1500 (BITD) of that particular event.
PROTRUCK RACING ORGANIZATION is a cost efficient, durable "spec truck" designed with the latest technology. These trucks are designed as a dual purpose, low cost racing vehicle. It works both as a short course and a long course high speed racer. Based on a full size utility vehicle, the Protruck is a full blown, space frame constructed, high performance race truck, disguised under a stock appearing body. The trucks race in a limited class, meaning that all of the trucks are built the same, using all of the same components with the exception of the body style and engine.
SCORE INTERNATIONAL is the worlds priemer long distance off road racing series. Home of the Baja 1000!
SOUTHERN NEVADA OFF ROAD ENTHUSIASTS (SNORE) is one of the larger racine series in the southwest. Lots of buggies!
VALLEY OFF ROAD RACING ASSOCIATION (VORRA) is great California race series.
WHIPLASH RACING is yet another desert racing series in the southwest.
3G RACING races a M&C Motorsports built 2-1600 car in the highly competitive Pro 1600 series and select MORE and SNORE races.

AMERICAN BUGGY ASSOCIATION (ABA) Formed over thirty years ago by a group of off-road vehicle enthusiasts, the ABA is a family oriented club whose members own a wide variety of vehicles for off-road recreation.
AMERICAN SAND ASSOCIATION Glamis On Line (GOL) originally was started to enhance the dune enthusiasts image. More importantly, GOL set out to inform and clarify all important dune related issues thus helping to ensure a continuation of the Right to Ride at the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) otherwise known as Glamis, Buttercup, Gordons Well, etc. The ASA is the next logical step a nonprofit corporation to collect money to fund activities such as getting more information out to the dune enthusiasts, promote projects that will make our dunes safer, and have a war chest to be able to mobilize the dune enthusiast on important issues.

There are 4 classes of racers including STOCK, SUPERSTOCK, PRO-STOCK, and PRO-MODIFIED. In each class, the racers line up two by two and try their luck. The drag track consists of two side by side lanes that are each 150 FEET long and FULL of MUD. Making it through is no small feat, let me tell ya. But, for those fortunate enough to make it to the end, it is an unmistakable pure rush of adrenaline. Winners keep racing until it gets down to #1, the best. Each class is DOUBLE elimination, so you can always come back for a 2nd try! Most racers are Members of the Association, but NON-MEMBERS ARE WELCOME! So, check the schedule, grab yourself a truck and come on out for the racing action. The Southwest Minnesota Mudraces, the only races where you can really play DIRTY!
